Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 24, 2026

At McKenzie Law, LLC, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a clear understanding of how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of data we collect from visitors to our website, how we use this data, and your rights regarding your personal information.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why Comments

When you leave comments on our website, we collect the information you provide in the comments form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string. This information helps us detect and prevent spam. Additionally, an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be collected. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture may appear publicly in connection with your comment.

Contact Forms and Webinar Registration

When you submit a contact form or register for one of our educational webinars, classes, or events, the information provided — including your name, email address, and phone number — is collected solely to evaluate and address your inquiry, deliver the educational content you requested, and communicate with you about related services. Please note that submitting a contact form or registering for a webinar does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Any communication from our firm prior to a signed engagement agreement is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.

Text Messaging (SMS) Communications

If you provide your mobile phone number and affirmatively opt in to receive text messages from McKenzie Law, LLC, we will use your number to send communications such as webinar reminders, class confirmations, appointment reminders, and related updates about our services. Specifically:

  • Opt-In Is Voluntary. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of registering for a webinar, scheduling a consultation, or using any of our services. You may register and receive all of our services without opting in to text messages.

  • Affirmative Consent Required. We will only send you text messages if you have explicitly selected "Yes" to receive them on a registration form, contact form, or other opt-in mechanism. We do not send marketing text messages to anyone who has not affirmatively opted in.

  • Message Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on the program you opt in to. For webinar and class reminder programs, you can expect up to 8 messages per month.

  • Message and Data Rates. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier and plan. McKenzie Law, LLC is not responsible for these charges.

  • Autodialer. Some text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system (autodialer).

  • How to Opt Out. You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you reply STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further text messages from that program. You may also email us at info@mckenzielawllc.com to request removal.

  • Help. If you need assistance, reply HELP to any message, email info@mckenzielawllc.com, or call (614) 957-7881.

  • Carriers. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile Information Sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors that support delivery of the text messaging service (such as our SMS platform provider) is permitted solely for that purpose. All other categories of personal information collected exclude mobile opt-in data and consent records, which are never shared with third parties for marketing.

Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 26, 2026

Welcome to McKenzie Law, LLC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, online forms, webinars, text message communications, and other services we provide. By accessing our website or registering for any of our programs, you agree to these Terms.

1. About McKenzie Law, LLC

McKenzie Law, LLC ("McKenzie Law," "we," "us," or "our") is an Ohio-licensed law firm with its principal office located at 1650 Lake Shore Drive, Suite 150, Columbus, Ohio 43204. We provide estate planning legal services to individuals and families in the State of Ohio.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of this website does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and McKenzie Law, LLC. Information provided on this website, in our webinars, in our email communications, in our text messages, or in any other content we publish is for general informational and educational purposes only.

An attorney-client relationship is formed only when:

  • You and McKenzie Law have entered into a signed written engagement agreement; and

  • McKenzie Law has agreed to represent you on a specific legal matter.

Submitting a registration form, attending a webinar, scheduling a consultation, or communicating with our firm by email, phone, or text message does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship.

3. Not Legal Advice

The information and content provided through our website, webinars, classes, emails, text messages, and other

communications is general legal information, not legal advice. Your specific legal situation may require advice that takes into account your individual circumstances. You should not act or refrain from acting based on information from our content without consulting a qualified attorney.

If you need legal advice, please contact McKenzie Law to schedule a consultation, or consult with another qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.

4. Eligibility and Geographic Limitations

McKenzie Law, LLC is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. Our services are intended for residents of Ohio. If you reside outside of Ohio, our services may not be available to you, and the information on this website may not apply to your jurisdiction.

You must be at least 18 years of age to register for our webinars, schedule consultations, or otherwise engage with our services.

5. Webinar Registration and Educational Programs

When you register for one of our free educational webinars, classes, or programs:

  • The webinar or class is provided as free educational content and not as legal advice.

  • We may communicate with you by email, phone, or (if you have opted in) text message regarding the program, including reminders, replay links, follow-up resources, and updates about future programs.

  • Registering for a webinar does not obligate you to engage McKenzie Law for legal services or to make any purchase.

  • We may offer paid legal services to attendees following the webinar. Engagement of those services is entirely your choice and requires a separate signed engagement agreement.

6. Text Messaging (SMS) Communications

If you affirmatively opt in to receive text messages from McKenzie Law, the following terms apply:

  • Opt-In Is Voluntary. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, registration, or service from McKenzie Law.

  • Message Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on the program. For webinar reminders and related educational programs, you may receive up to 8 messages per month.

  • Message and Data Rates. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier and plan. McKenzie Law is not responsible for these charges.

  • Autodialer. Some text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system (autodialer).

  • How to Opt Out. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at info@mckenzielawllc.com or (614) 957-7881.

  • No Sharing of Mobile Information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent records are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They are shared only with our SMS platform provider and the wireless carriers necessary to deliver messages you have requested.

For complete details about how we handle your information, please see our Privacy Policy.

7. Payment for Legal Services

When you engage McKenzie Law for paid legal services, the terms of that engagement — including fees, scope of representation, payment terms, and refund policies — are set forth in a written engagement agreement signed by both you and the firm. The terms of any individual engagement supersede these general Terms with respect to that legal matter.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and in our educational programs — including written materials, videos, graphics, logos, and brand identity — is the property of McKenzie Law, LLC, and is protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

conferencing platforms, or document storage services). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party websites or services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website, webinars, educational content, and communications are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, McKenzie Law, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website, registration for our programs, or communications with our firm — except in the context of an established attorney-client relationship governed by a signed engagement agreement.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our website shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100), except in the context of an established attorney-client relationship.
